Hello there ladies! SO, let me start of by writing, the struggle of taking pictures today was so real. IT IS FREEZING AND SO WINDY HERE IN BOSTON. My ears were numb,i was just a mess. Any ways, today's ootd i wore a trend i mentioned a couple days back on another post: GINGHAM! i told you it was the stamp of the season. Because it was so cold, i opted to wear a floppy wide brimmed hat that is also very trendy right now! TBH (to be honest) the hat almost flew away because of the wind but we worked with what we had. The day was gorgeous though, the sun was shinning but not doing the work of warming, lol. I layered on top of the button up a denim jacket i got at H&M and then my wool-blend coat i got also at h&m. I would have thrown on some sneakers but the snow is waist deep i opted for a closed toe bootie. OH! AND THE MOST EXCITING NEWS, i finally got my camera, YAY *happy dance*!!! Me and the hubby bought the CANON rebel t5i which takes amazing pictures, hopefully i can get some tutorials up soon...if i can get my act together. so here are the pictures:
Hat: Calvin klein via Nordstrom rack
Gingham shirt: J.Crew
Denim jacket: H&M
Wool-blend coat: H&M
boots: Kenneth cole
sunnies: Rayban style "erica"
As far as the makeup, i did a cool toned look, with mostly grey, lilac, and purples. My face routine is usually the same. on my eyes i used Makeup geek eye shadow in "uninterrupted" on the crease. On the lid i used a naked 3 palette color called " buzz & liar", To deepen the v outer corner and up the crease a little bit i used "plum" from the Lorac pro 2 palette. Then i just lined my eyes with gel liner. Lipstick is cashmere by limecrime (linked on the liquid lipsticks post down below).
Leave me some comments :)
hello again pretty ladies! So here in New england specifically here in MA, we are a bit snowed in. Actually we are A LOT SNOWED IN! So what is a better time than all the extra time i have now to update some posts. This is probably one of my favorite posts. I am IN LOVE with liquid lipsticks. I don't really like glossy lips which is probably why I only buy matte lipsticks or amplified or liquid matte. I absolutely dislike gloss because i don't like the feeling of sticky and gooey lips and rarely a shiny lip. Liquid lipstick is essentially a lipstick that comes in a gloss tube and form, but when you apply it, it comes on wet and creamy and it dries to a matte color. Let me just tell you, these suckers DO NOT BUDGE! They definitely don't bleed on creases and you can eat and drink all day and they go nowhere. This is why i love these lipsticks, i don't walk around with half colored lips lol. Any brand of lipsticki like, i try to find matte lipsticks or at MAC i buy matte, amplified, satin, or retro matte. This liquid lipstick or lip stain trend has come into the beauty community like a tornado just basically tearing wallets apart hahaha. The most sought out one of all the ones i have has been Kat Von D "lolita" and the limecrime velvetines that are almost ALWAYS sold out. (They are coming out with a new one, i am already in love and passing out with the color). I would swatch them on my lips but they suck to remove so my lips will probably fall off. Eventually ya'll will see it on my makeup pictures posted.
CHECK PLEASE! =P
Hiii beautiful girls. Today's post will be another trending alert post. Gingham is a type of checked print on clothes basically like a checker board, not plaid, checkered. Oscar de la Renta, Michael Kors, and Altuzarra agrees too! This is THE spring print of the season. I remember watching House of DVF and there was one episode where the SS15 fashion show took place, and literally the whole fashion show was almost all Gingham and black and white. down below are some of the really cute ones that are wearable off the runway. My favorite probably would be the Oscar de la Renta line because i love big bold prints like he used in his line. Nonetheless, they are all freaking gorgeous! Will you be wearing gingham this spring? (As a matter of fact i am wearing it as i write this)
