Let me start by saying, I HAVE BEEN OBSESSING over these kimono style trench coats. Honestly, I think I have these in every color. It is going to be the most comfortable and easy outerwear of the spring. They aren't as heavy as trench coats and jackets, but they can keep you warm in those breezy days of spring. I have SO many ideas for the ones I bought, I feel like just wearing them all already! I can't wait to style these OOTD for you all. This past weekend I wore my black one from forever 21, and I didn't take pictures, unfortunately. But i will post some inspo pictures for now and stay tuned to see some OOTD this month, weather permitting. Not only has street style been all the rave but these have been on the runways too, let's take a look:

Kimonos are long, loose robes with wide sleeves and tied with a sash. These kimono style trench coats are exactly that but up a notch. They are loose, lightweight, slouchy coats. Some have collars and lapels, other don't, some have the buckles and back flaps like a trench, some have pockets, and others have nothing but sleeves. There are so many varieties and I think i have a good variety.
What do you guys think? Will you be pulling this off this season?

Fashion says "me too". Style says "only me."
Today's OOTD I used to one of my Best friend's engagement celebration. My beautiful Anna got engaged this weekend and we went out to celebrate with some friends! Since you can never go wrong with black, that's exactly what i wore. And because it was a night time event, instead of wearing a regular black pants or leather, i went with a black sequined legging and some sandal heels because I just want it to be summer already! It was a little cold but bearable. Then to add a bit of neutral color I used my camel coat! Take a look:
Did you like it? Here' What I wore:

A smile is a woman's best accessory, sequins are appropriate no matter what the occasion & some days simply require a glass of champagne!"

Today's post is more of a chit chat, still about style. As you probably have heard, Fashion trends go away, your style is forever as COCO CHANEL would say, and if you don't have your own personal style, well that could be a problem because you could get caught up in the trend wave and get in that "i need everything" mindset and you will never be satisfied( if you even care for fashion). Example, Kim Kardashian...She seems to always be going with the flow of trends, except she will never repeat an outfit. Obviously people probably pay her to wear their clothes. Most of us can't afford to live like that. This is where my "Back to basics" post comes in. When you have a foundation on what your style is, and you have essential pieces in your wardrobe, everything else is just details. There are pieces you can make many outfits out of and it won't look like you are repeating. I'm not necessarily bashing people who go with the trending wave, but what good is dressing up when you don't add your own touch and style to it and you're just dressing like that to be accepted or because somebody is telling you to? What good is it to dress up just because everyone else is doing it? You can follow and incorporate anything you want into your wardrobe as long as you keep being yourself and keep your style steady. Obviously, with age and maturity, everyone's style changes and modifies. We don't want 40 year old walking around in teenager clothes. With the years passing, so do trends. It is so important that your style maintains true to you, so you can successfully look stylish and effortless, if you do something that isn't you, it will show, trust me. It'll make you look like you are trying way to hard. Less is more.

I'm sure you guys got the point now. Different occasions call for different outfits, leave a little touch of you in whatever you wear, after all, you want to be remembered for you and not for the clothing pieces you are wearing.
